Fraud and Abuse
In 1996 the Office of the Inspector General forwarded to all Medicare providers a NATIONAL FRAUD ALERT regarding the use of Billing consultants, and their companies that incorporate CONTINGENCY, RISK SHARING and MAXIMIZING REVENUE REMUNERATION programs. However, since the founding of NMD, it has been our policy to professionally guide our customers through the maze of national and local coding and reimbursement guidelines, WITHOUT the financial uncertainty or burden of a fiscal arrangement that may cause provider heartache. Therefore NMD subscribes to the practice of FLAT RATE CONSULTING FEES. This arrangement eliminates any potential for the advocacy on improper coding practices, and even the appearance of impropriety.
The NMD reimbursement consultation is focused upon insuring that appropriate and compliant reimbursement programs are employed by our clients. With the increasing federal awareness and scrutiny of all provider coding, reimbursement and compliance programs across the United States, it is imperative that an accurate, appropriate financial and clinical working knowledge of REGULATORY STANDARDS be QUICKLY ADOPTED and INSTALLED.
